Your Wish Is A Symbol
Our goal, with this essay, is sharing.
Sharing what?
A simple idea that you can use to attain what you want with greater ease.
Your Wish Is A Symbol
The title of this section refers to an idea from Neville Goddard.
If you want to manifest — this word may not be entirely appropriate, but it works — something, one of the best things you can do is turn that “something” into a symbol.
A symbol of your wish being attained.
Just as an example, if you want to reach 500 published Medium essays, by the end of this year, you can imagine writing these essays.
Or, you can imagine seeing “Published: 500” on your Medium page.
If you do the above, you get to the heart of the matter.
Your wish isn’t to write these essays.
No, your wish is to have written these essays. And, in having written these essays, to have reached a milestone.
Don’t get me wrong, writing these essays is, of course, part of the wish.
But, the end result of this wish — the most important part, for manifesting — is having written those essays.
The Best Way To Turn Your Wish Into A Symbol
The best way to turn your wish into a symbol is to write it down.
“My wish is to have a super easy, fun, and secure job that pays $3,000 a month.”
Right after you write down your wish, think about what the “end result” of this wish is.
No, it isn’t just “having/enjoying the wish.”
Or, well, maybe it is. But, it probably isn’t.
Rather, there is probably something else, within the wish, that could be considered an “end result.”
Give yourself a minute to come up with some thoughts regarding what that might be.
Some of the potential “end results” of our example wish are as follows:
- Having a ton of money in our savings account.
- Buying more things from places like Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
- Feeling a lot more relaxed.
- Seeing large sums of money in our checking account.
- Holding fat stacks of cash in our wallet.
- Seeing a specific sum on our annual tax documents.
- Doing what we want to do with the money; buying more books and traveling the world.
- Being a lot busier with work and, yet, enjoying it greatly.
- Receiving a monthly check for $3,000 a month
And so on and so forth.
Every single one of these end results serves to encapsulate our wish.
Right after you think about the end results you have chosen, select one and, then, turn it into a symbol.
If you like the ninth end result, you can imagine receiving a check for $3,000 a month.
You can imagine holding the check in your hands.
Just touching it, folding it, appreciating it; and so on and so forth.
Or, you can imagine thirty $100 bills, right in front of you.
You can imagine receiving these every single month.
Yet another alternative is imagining three $1,000 bills.
No, these bills don’t exist. But, it is a good symbol.
You can imagine touching these bills. Moving them around. And, enjoying them.
Every single one of these ideas applies to any wish you could possibly yearn for.
It Really Works
The ideas outlined in this essay work.
Not only that, they work really, really well.
It is hard to say why. But, I suspect it may be that there is a deeper mind within us.
A deeper mind that acts on the things we really feel.
If we rely too much on our rational mind — so to speak — we can become confined to thoughts.
Thoughts of our wish.
On the other hand, if we work with symbols, and the feelings they evoke, we can impress our deeper mind.
“Impress” our deeper mind, in the sense of getting to the point where we feel, and know, that our wish is a fact.
If we impress our deeper mind, then our wish has no choice but to become a fact.
It’s like planting a seed.
You water it. And, you nurture it.
Eventually, the seed will turn into a beautiful plant, as is its nature.
You can say the same thing about our wishes.
If we water them and nurture them — with good feelings, symbols, nice thoughts — they have no choice but to sprout.
To sprout into the experiences we truly yearn for.
Conclusion
The last section of this essay is somewhat incoherent.
My apologies.
Even so, though, there is one thing that I can, and will, promise you.
This works.
All of these ideas work.
Please try them.
You may be very surprised at what occurs.
