Your Desired Experience — A Gratitude Game

Our goal, with this essay, is to explore.

To explore a gratitude game.

A gratitude game entitled “Your Desired Experience.”

You can play this gratitude game to manifest/attract/create — you get the idea — the things you desire.

Other gratitude games have been outlined on this blog, but this one is a little different.

Regardless of that, though, let’s dive right in!

You Can Live The Life You Wish To Live

You can live the life you wish to live.

And, if that means living in Mexico, on the beach, while writing and exploring — among an infinitude of other paths, possibilities, and potentials; ad infinitum — then you can do it.

The same is true for anything else.

You can live the life you wish to live.

A good way to move closer to this life is to make use of your innate creative power.

And, one of the best ways to make use of your innate creative power is to play games.

Or, alternatively, to experiment with different methods, tools, and systems; and so on and so forth.

Many of my favorite games center on evoking the feelings of your wish fulfilled and, then, allowing those feelings to exist within that moment in a manner that suggests your wish is a present fact.

Just as an example, if you wish to be successful, you might command the feeling of success and, in doing so, you would feel that you are a success right now, even if that isn’t what outer appearances would suggest.

You can play the game outlined right below to accomplish this task.

Outside of the above, you can also play the game outlined right below in any way that you prefer, for this is now your game and it exists within a life that has always belonged to you.

Clarifying Your Desires

Right away, the first thing you must do, to begin playing the ”Your Desired Game,” is to clarify your desires.

You can desire anything. And, your desires can be anything.

No matter what, though, you should come up with at least seven desires.

Just to start off, that is.

And, with that in mind, my seven desires — or, at least, seven of them, out of so many others — are as follows:

  • Discovering some new, inspiring, and mind-expanding, books to read.
  • Seeing the “Lord Of The Rings” films in theaters.
  • Tripling my current income.
  • A wonderful wealth of new, inspiring ideas and possibilities
  • A stronger sense of strength, personal power, and vision.
  • Visiting Baray; a temple in Siem Reap, on a small island.
  • A clear vision for my life, my goals, and what we’re working towards.

Your desires can be anything. And, paradoxically, everything, as well.

Seriously, the possibilities, potentials, and paths — ad infinitum — are infinite, endless, and limitless; ad infinitum.

Diving Into Your Desires

Right after you clarify your desires, you must dive into each one.

And, in diving into each desire, you must turn it into three unique experiences.

Or, perhaps, three components that comprise the experience that is your desire.

You might even call them elements or facets; and so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.

Really, the possibilities, paths, potentials — are endless and infinite; ad infinitum.

You can approach this in the manner of your choosing. And, you can play with it in any way.

No matter what, though, you must appreciate three components of your desire, as if it were a fact of your life.

Just as an example, in appreciating a viewing of the “Lord Of The Rings,” in theaters — an experience that is set to come true, as the trilogy will be screened at my local theater in late November and early December — you can create a gratitude list that contains the following elements:

  • I really loved finally being able to see the films in theaters and to enjoy that experience.
  • I really loved just how beautiful the imagery was and just how rich the sound was.
  • I really love that, now, I can say that I’ve seen the trilogy in theaters, the way it was meant to be seen.

You can — and, ideally, must — experience genuine love, appreciation, gratitude — you get the idea — for each one.

And, well, that’s the essence of it.

Outside of that example, though, and the rules that underlie it, you can, and probably should, be very experimental.

Rather than making a list, you can conduct an inner conversation, imagine scenes/moments, write little stories of what you appreciate; and so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.

No matter what, the essence is the same: appreciating three things, about your desire, as if it were a fact of your life.

A Quick, Easy Game

You can find an example of how to play our gratitude game right below.

Or, rather, you can find most of an example, right below; since we already explored our desire to watch “The Lord Of The Rings,” we’re just going to focus on our six other desires.

Right before we go over this example, we must reiterate, once more, that all of this is very flexible.

You can play this gratitude game in any way. And, you can experiment in any way you wish.

And, with that in mind, you can find an example of our gratitude game right below:

  • I really love the new books I’m reading; I really love that these books inspire me and they excite me and I feel like I’m stepping into that wonderful flow of new knowledge when I read them; I really appreciate the new ideas these books are leading to and all of the cool ideas they’re allowing me to develop; I really love those lovely “Holy crap!” moments these books are evoking in me and I love that I am experiencing so many of them while reading these books!
  • I really appreciate that I have tripled my income and I can purchase and do so much more; I really love that strong sense of security within me, I just feel more secure and more wealthy; I really love that it’s secure and long-term and I love that, well, I feel like I’ve made it and that I am where I want to be and I love that; I really love that I am spending a little more on things that I love that are, maybe, kind of silly, like really good chocolate and, well, I love having that as a dessert and, really, whenever I want!
  • I really love the new ideas and possibilities that I’ve been able to find, receive, and develop; I really love just how nice they make me feel; I really love writing them down and exploring them and journaling about them; I really love just how alive I feel and I love just how much fun I am having with them.
  • I really love the inner strength that I am feeling and sensing; I really love that, well, I feel much stronger and I have so much more energy; I really love the fact that I sense, within my very depths, that the future is infinite and I feel so free and so alive and that all things are possible and I adore this feeling.
  • I really loved visiting Baray; I loved taking the boat to the island and seeing the waves and the sky; I really loved taking photos and videos and I love that those memories are preserved; I really loved driving alongside the coast and just seeing all of that beauty and richness and just being in this beautiful world.
  • I really love that, right now, I have a vision for my life and a clear idea of where I’m going and what I am doing; I really love that I have these goals and I’m working towards them and I’m seeing progress and I am so happy to have this and to feel so much more connected to possibility and life and movement.

None of the above is especially good. But, it all evokes a certain feeling within me — gratitude, but also the sense that these desires are the facts of my life, at this time — which may very well be the key to this.

Even though the above is true, there is something else to note: you can experience a vague sense of gratitude and, in doing so, it is very likely — guaranteed, even — that your wishes can, and will, manifest.

Just as an example, in the past, many of my gratitude games have involved lighter, not particularly strong, feelings of gratitude and appreciation towards desires such as new work and travel experiences.

Even though the feelings of gratitude were not particularly strong, the intentions, along with many of the things that these intentions comprised, were able to manifest with surprising ease.

Outside of the above, one other point to consider is that sometimes a feeling of “This is possible and it can happen to me, even if it is unlikely or I’m not sure how it will happen.” is all you need.

Seriously.

A minor, somewhat vague, sense of possibility is enough to move mountains.

If you are trying to manifest something, or attempting to play this gratitude game, but things just aren’t moving the way you want to, it is worth remembering that what you desire is possible.

Seriously, it is!

And, if you remember this, while also remembering that it can happen, then it may be easier for you to appreciate your wish as a present fact, thereby allowing you to bring that wish into your life.

Conclusion

You can live the life you wish to live.

If nothing else, please remember that.

And, if you have room for one more thing, please remember that you are much, much more powerful than you know.

No matter what you remember, know, or act upon, though, thank you so much for reading this essay.
