You Choose
Our subject today is choice.
But, that isn’t quite true.
Rather, our subject today is choice and the power of choice.
Come to think of it, that isn’t true, either.
Our subject today is your ability to choose and the power this ability grants you.
None of what is found below may appear particularly novel.
No matter, though, for the themes and ideas found below are, in my experience, powerful.
Powerful and transformative; capable of engendering new, delightful, life changes.
My hope is that engaging with these themes and ideas grants you similar possibilities.
You Choose
You choose what you want to do.
You choose what you want to experience.
You choose what you want to be.
You choose what you want to create.
You choose what you want to learn.
You choose what you want to explore.
And so on and so forth.
Remember, you choose.
But, is this actually true? Is it actually, genuinely, truthful?
If my experiences with this notion are any indication, then the answer is “Yes.”
Or, at least, the answer is “Yes,” to some extent.
Our innate abilities may define every facet of our lives. Or, they may not.
Right now, there is no genuine answer that comes to mind. But, future experiences may serve to clarify this.
Even if this notion isn’t entirely true, though, living from this notion, as if it were true, is powerful.
You see, rather than being bound to circumstances and systems outside of your control, you are free.
You are free to choose.
To choose what you want.
To choose what you desire.
To choose what you yearn for.
You are not bound to circumstances or systems.
Rather, you are free to choose and experience all that you long for.
No matter who you are, or what you are doing, you can choose.
And, this doesn’t just apply to, say, what you eat for dinner or even what you do for a living.
Rather, every single facet of your life is an infinite canvas of new, exciting, choices.
If you want to live a more adventurous life, you are free to choose adventure and explore.
You are free to live a more adventurous life and to become an adventurous person.
If you want to live a life of abundance, you are free to choose abundance.
You are free to live a life of abundance and to become an abundant person.
And so on and so forth.
The possibilities are as vast and infinite as your choices and the choices available to you are as vast and infinite as your ability to choose.
A Powerful Inner Conversation
To truly step into, and embrace, your innate power of choice, you can begin to choose.
Or, more specifically, you can begin to make new choices that align with what you love and desire.
Sometimes, though, doing so isn’t particularly easy.
Our own habits of acting and assuming confine us to particular modes of being.
Particular modes of being that may obfuscate the choices available to us while also obfuscating our own power to choose.
If that is the case, then there is something else you can do.
Something simple and fun, yet transformative.
You can conduct an “I Choose” inner conversation.
To conduct this conversation, think of something you would like to choose.
Or, rather, something you are choosing to enjoy.
You may choose to go on a nice walk.
If that is the case, you can say, inside yourself, “I Choose To Go On A Nice Walk.”
Right after that, you can say “I Choose To See Beautiful Things On This Walk. I Choose To Have A Great Time Walking.”
And so on and so forth.
You can take this in any particular direction of your choosing.
Right after you go over something relatively easy and simple, select something else.
Something a little more tricky.
You might say “I Choose To Live In Mexico.”
That is, if you would like to live in Mexico; if that is a deep desire of yours.
Right after that, you can say “I Choose To Meet New Friends In Mexico. I Choose To Learn Spanish. I Choose To Go On Adventures In Mexico.”
And so on and so forth.
Right after that, think of another wish and, then, repeat the process.
Soon after that wish, think of another one. And then another one. And then another one after that.
Try to work on this for around five-minutes.
Or longer, if you want.
Conducting this process should evoke a genuine sense of power and fulfillment.
A sense of strength. A sense of agency. A sense of accomplishment.
You are acting in a focused, deliberate, creative manner.
Rather than waiting or consigning yourself to what appears to be, you are choosing to live your life the way you wish to.
Very few things are more powerful than acts of this nature.
Right before concluding this section, though, there’s one last thing to say.
For some, this process might not produce the same results.
Rather, this process might not conjure much of anything at all.
If that is the case, my apologies.
Sometimes it works well and sometimes, for whatever reason, it doesn’t.
No matter, though, for you are still very powerful and, of course, capable of choosing.
Remember, You Choose
Remember, you can choose.
Please remember that.
Please remember that you are the chooser of your life.
Please remember that you never need to be stuck.
Please remember that you can always soar and create and explore and learn and be.
Please remember that.
And, please, while remembering this fact, allow yourself to embrace it.
Allow yourself to embrace the power and strength that you possess and truly, truly are.
