Things Will Get Better

For the most part, everything published on this Medium blog is intended to be clear, concise, informative, and well-written.

But, the following essay isn’t really any of those things.

Rather, it’s a series of unedited thoughts that, I hope, will to some extent, inspire and inform.

So, if you don’t mind that style, then you may enjoy what’s been written below!

This, Too, Shall Pass

No matter who you are, or what situation you happen to be in, there’s something you should always remember; this, too, shall pass.

For some, this truth might be a source of insecurity and uncertainty.

But, it doesn’t need to be.

Just because everything will pass, doesn’t mean that what comes forth will be any less lovely and joyous then what you are currently experiencing.

For some, this truth might be a source of optimism and faith.

I think it should be.

If you are in an undesirable situation, or dealing with problems, know that this situation, and those problems, will, eventually, pass.

Even though this truth is known to all of us, on some level or another, it’s easy to forget.

For myself, personally, it’s easy to forget this, and too easy to assume that the problems we’re facing will remain problems.

But, in the end, that’s not true.

Eventually, those problems, and the situations that gave way to those problems, slip away.

My assumption is that this is both the nature of time, as well as the nature of our own abilities.

Moments come and go. Events occur and transpire. People move forward and stay still. Thoughts arise. Ideas come forward. Feelings ebb and flow.

That is the nature of time.

Throughout our experiences within time, we find ourselves attached to specific goals, ambitions, visions, desires, and possibilities.

Each one of these is, in its own way, valid.

If we choose to bring some of these into our life, then we can do so.

Since we live within time, though, the things we desire often take a little bit of time.

If we know what we desire, can nurture that within ourselves, move forward in tangible ways, all while recognizing that things are moving, even if they don’t appear to be, then, it would seem that success is inevitable.

Things Will Get Better

Every now and then, as mentioned earlier, time seems to stand still.

A poor situation just won’t shift. A problem won’t go away. A state of being persists.

No matter what, though, all of those things will pass.

But, will what replaces them be any better?

You are the only one who can answer that question.

To make sure that things get better, though, there’s a mantra that’s worth playing with.

“Things will get better.”

Right now, that may not seem to be the case.

If you remember that time is always moving and things are always shifting, then there’s no reason why things cannot get better.

If you turn to yourself, to the powers you possess, towards your vision, then there’s no reason you can’t bring that to life.

If you remember that this, too, shall pass, and allow this passage to occur, then there’s no reason a new situation cannot enter your life.

Just remember that this, too, shall pass and that, in doing so, things will get better.

I’m trying to remember that as much as I can. It’s not always easy, but it makes me feel a lot better and, as a result, seems to make it easier to let go and focus on what’s important.

Conclusion

Thank you so much for reading this jumble of thoughts.

My apologies for not having published much in the past few-weeks.

Right now, the well of ideas is somewhat dry, and there’s been a lot of work to deal with.

Prior to the end of this month, though, two more essays will be published.

One of these essays will, most likely, be similar to this one: a series of thoughts on a truth.

The other essay will be all about signs and synchronicities.

My hope is that this essay, and the others, serve as a source of inspiration and guidance.

Best wishes, and have a nice day!
