The Power Of Simple Coordinates

My favorite New Thought essay is Harv Bishops’s “Realizing Your Dreams: Less Work, More Results.”

Or, at least, the above is one of my favorite New Thought essays.

Right within this essay, you can find a vision of our inner powers that emphasizes ease.

Our greatest manifestations come from easy, gentle intentions that we nurture within the depths of our being.

My experiences with the notion above are mixed. But, at the same time, they point to one truth, in particular.

Ease is better.

Or, more specifically, ease appears to create greater results than force.

Greater results with greater speed, ease, and, frankly, satisfaction.

Our essay is meant to explore this notion.

The Power Of Simple Coordinates

On the first or second week of May, 2022, I conducted an experiment.

Every single day, I went on a nice, long walk.

During this walk, I appreciated wealth.

Or, more specifically, I appreciated the wealthy, rich, and abundant life that I was choosing to live.

Some of what I appreciated, within these long walks, is as follows:

  1. I love that I am living life on easy mode.
  2. I love that I am seeing the movies I want to see in theaters.
  3. I love that I am making so much money.
  4. I love that I am so happy and satisfied.
  5. I love that I am doing what I love to do every single day.
  6. I love that I am really good with my money.
  7. I love that I have so much money saved up.

And so on and so forth.

Every single one of these statements flowed through me. And, in flowing through me, they evoked love.

A deep love for the life that I was choosing to experience within those moments.

No action was taken.

And, no real effort was spent trying to evoke these feelings or, by extension, the reality of these wishes.

Even so, though, this period of appreciation brought me a 100% raise at my main job, two new clients that were very good to me, as well as a great deal of prosperity, ease, and success.

On top of that, the Summer that followed was one of the loveliest of my life.

I was — and, still am, it must be said — truly abundant.

The entire thing came from a place of ease.

None of my appreciation was rooted in a specific intention.

Or, for that matter, a specific outcome.

I did not focus on getting a raise or new clients; among other possibilities.

No, my efforts were, purely, centered on living a wealthy, rich, and abundant life.

The coordinates were simple.

But, the results?

Those were spectacular.

My thesis is as follows: if you want to manifest something, then your success may be contingent on the following:

  1. A light, pleasant state of ease, hopeful expectancy, and relaxation.
  2. A wish that is vague and, yet, tangible; you can feel this wish and know when it is present.

You can learn more about this thesis by reading the sections below.

Your Deeper Mind

Right within our very depths, there is a deeper mind.

A deeper mind that listens to our thoughts, feelings, yearnings; and so on and so forth.

Our deeper mind listens and, in listening, enacts much of what we give it.

Or, at least, some of what we give it.

If we can give our deeper mind all sorts of nice feelings and thoughts regarding, say, wealth, then our deeper mind will have no choice but to bring us the wealth that we seek.

Our conscious mind, then, does very little of the work.

The conscious mind directs the activity.

But, our deeper mind, well, it does all of the other stuff.

The problem arises from this: interfacing with our deeper mind appears to require a specific type of activity.

A specific type of activity that allows ideas to flow into the deeper mind.

And, in flowing into the deeper mind, to be enacted.

Just as an example, you might be able to affirm that you have a particular outcome. But, if you cannot accept, or really feel, this particular outcome, then it might be hard for your deeper mind to enact this wish.

On the other hand, if you feel this outcome very deeply, while letting it go, your deeper mind can enact your wish.

The above is just one example.

3 Tools

You can find three tools that, if used, allow you to interface with your deeper mind:

  1. You can imagine a simple scene that suggests the fulfillment of your wish. And, when you imagine this scene, focus on the sensations within the scene as well as a feeling of appreciation.
  2. You can make a statement that is vague but, somehow, evokes the feeling of your wish fulfilled. Let this statement flow through you, over and over, for a few minutes.
  3. You can imagine a symbol that evokes the fulfillment of your wish. Something really simple and precise that you, then, imagine, feel, and appreciate, with little in the way of rational thinking.

You can find three examples, of the tools outlined above, right below:

  1. If you want to visit the beach, you can imagine reading a book on the patio of your rented beach house. You can feel the wind and experience yourself flipping through your book; among other possibilities.
  2. If you want to experience peace and contentment — along with, perhaps, the abundance and success you have been striving for — you can say “Everything is taken care of” over and over again.
  3. If you want to have a secure income that pays very, very well, you can imagine an “infinity” sign overlaid on top of your bank account statement.

Every single one of the above will help you interface with your deeper mind. And, in doing so, enact your wishes.

Outside of the above, there are three things to remember, when using these tools:

  1. A state of ease and relaxation is the best state to be in when using these tools.
  2. A daily meditation practice that involves these tools will make it easier for you to manifest your wishes.
  3. A few simple experiments, for smaller wishes, is a good way to prove the validity of these tools.

Regarding the latter point, if you have a big wish, it may be worth focusing on a smaller wish. This way, you can find what works for you, while also proving to yourself that these tools are effective.
