The Number Line
The number line is a concept.
A concept that contains every single number.
Just imagine a line.
On one rung in this line, there is the number “1.”
And, then, to the right of that rung, there is the number “2.”
The number “3” follows that one.
It just keeps going, infinitely and endlessly; ad infinitum.
Right in the middle — so to speak — of this number line, there is the number “0.”
To the left of “0,” there is “-1.”
And, then, “-2.”
It just keeps going, without any endings, boundaries, or limits; ad infinitum.
Just imagine all of this.
A Vision Of Vastness
The number line is a vision of vastness.
You can go in either direction of the number line.
And, you can do so, for infinite eternities, endless bodies of time, unending hyper-eternities; ad infinitum.
No matter what you do, you will never, ever, reach any endings, limits, or boundaries; ad infinitum.
There will always be an infinite wealth of new numbers to discover.
Just imagine, then, going to the left of our number line, for 958 trillion years.
Every second, of this body, you wander through 958 trillion numbers.
And, even if you do the above, there are no endings, limits, or boundaries, to the numbers you discover.
It is infinite.
Just as it is vast.
