The Language Of Presence

Our subject today is “the Language of Presence.”

Or, just “the language of presence,” depending on what you prefer.

You will, by reading this essay, learn what the Language of Presence is and what you can do to employ the Language of Presence, so as to fulfill your aims and yearnings.

Since this essay is about a rather vague, nebulous concept, the writing and structure may be messy.

I apologize for that and hope that, in spite of this piece’s shortcomings, it offers value to you.

What Is The Language Of Presence?

You can type “what is language” into Google and, in doing so, you’ll be met with numerous definitions.

Each one of these definitions resonate, but the one that’s most suited to describing the Language of Presence is: a nonverbal method of expression or communication.

You see, the Language of Presence is a nonverbal mode of communication.

A nonverbal mode of communication that speaks to one person and one person only.

Yourself.

No matter how you choose to use the Language of Presence, you will always be speaking to yourself.

This is for one simple reason: no one can experience the present moment in quite the same way as you do.

You are unique.

Your thoughts are unique. Your identity is unique. Your feelings are unique. Your sensations are unique. Your moods are unique. Your imagination is unique.

And so on and so forth.

Everything that composes the present moment is rooted in both who you are and what you are.

And who are you?

You, my friend, are a creative being.

A creative being who both possesses and truly, truly is immeasurable power.

You can harness the creative power that you possess and truly are, so as to bring that which you desire to life.

To accomplish this task, you can — and, some would say, must, but this is just my experience and my words cannot define your experience — employ the Language of Presence.

You can employ the Language of Presence so as to transform the present moment.

For, within the present moment, is all that you seek.

Right before we dive into that, though, let’s define the “grammar”, if you will, that composes the Language of Presence.

The Grammar Of Your Language Of Presence

Everyone is unique and, as such, the grammar that composes your own Language of Presence is slightly different from that of someone else’s Language of Presence.

Or, at least, this is the case, when applied to the intensity and vividity of this grammar.

No matter who you are, your Language of Presence is composed of the following:

• Sensations
• Feelings
• Emotions

Yes, these are vague. But, at the same time, they are adequate.

Everyone is, on some level, familiar with sensations, feelings, and emotions.

Each one serves to define our experience of the world and ourselves.

Perhaps most importantly, though, each one serves to define our experience of the present moment.

Our experience of the present moment is rooted in the sensations we experience, the feelings that arise within us, and the emotions that these sensations and feelings arouse.

Or, is it emotions that arouse feelings? It’s hard to say.

Regardless of that point, though, these three elements compose the grammar of the Language of Presence.

Every possibility within the Language of Presence is rooted in this grammar.

You, as a creative being, can play with this grammar.

By playing with this grammar, you can evoke your own sensations, feelings, and emotions.

The act of evoking your own sensations, feelings, and emotions will transform the present moment.

You will, to borrow a rather trite adjective, feel different.

Different from what you were feeling, moments ago, when immersed in another present moment.

But, that’s not all that happens.

You see, as a creative being, you possess the ability to not only employ the Language of Presence, so as to transform your current state of being, but also the life you live.

The reason for this is quite simple: what you feel as a present fact is your reality.

Of course, this notion, and those related to it, conjures yet another question.

Why Does This Work?

Truth be told, I am not sure.

You can find a wealth of speculation in the works of thinkers as vast and varied as the following:

• Neville Goddard
• Joseph Murphy
• Philip K. Dick
• Michael Talbot
• Luke Lafitte

And many, many others.

Each one has their own answers; their own theories and experiences.

No one knows the real answer, though. And, in turn, their experiences with this concept — that which you feel as a reality becoming a fact — are just that: their own, unique experiences.

Given this fact, your experiences, and the speculation that they engender, may differ.

Outside of that, though, my own thought is that we are creative beings who possess a spiritual power or ability, of sorts, to shape the reality that we experience.

Or, on a slightly deeper, more frightening level, the reality we experience is entirely rooted in systems of imagination and feeling that emanate from our very depths and, in turn, that which we let in and nurture.

A little bit of evidence, rooted entirely in personal experience, exists for these theories.

No matter, though, for our central notion — the power of feeling/your creative power — is a “personal fact,” of sorts, that has demonstrated itself time and time again.

In my life, that is. And, possibly, your life.

What Does It Mean To “Feel It Real?”

To “feel it real” means three things. These three things are:

• Going into your imagination and experiencing the feelings that something evokes
• Conjuring the sensations, feelings, and emotions of that thing
• Experiencing that thing, and engaging with it, in your imagination, as if it is present

My apologies for the shoddy description.

The essence of “feel it real” is imagining that something is present and experiencing it as if it is.

Within your imagination, that is.

Right behind — or underneath, depending on which metaphor you prefer — the “feel it real” concept is the notion that what you feel as a reality will become a fact of your life.

Given this, if you are currently struggling, but go into your imagination and experience a vast sense of abundance and freedom, then you will become wealthy.

Or, at least, you will become as wealthy as you need to be, to bring those sensibilities to life within the “Waking World” or “Real World” or whatever name you prefer.

Many wishes, it seems, require more than a perfunctory “feeling it real” session.

Rather, wishes of some significance seem to require habitual effort; going into your imagination, for a period of time, every single day, until some undefined point when you realize that your wish is a fact.

Soon after you reach such a point, and experience this knowing, things shift.

You may not experience your wish right after that moment, but you will know, in a way that goes beyond logic and measurement, that your wish is a fact.

And, it is. That is what you will experience, in a way that appears natural and unremarkable.

How Can You Employ The Language Of Presence?

Just as a recap, the Language of Presence is composed of:

• Sensations
• Feelings
• Emotions

To employ the Language of Presence, you must use your imagination to conjure each one of these elements.

Doing so will allow you to experience what it is that you desire as a presence within your life.

Right before you can do that, though, you must clarify your wish.

You are a creative being and can do, be, experience, become — and so on and so forth, without end — anything.

So, well, choose something that lights you up.

Right after you do so, you can begin to employ the Language of Presence.

To do so, you can consider what you would experience, if your wish was a fact of your life.

You can then do one of the following:

• Conjure a scene that implies the fulfillment of your wish
• Conduct an inner conversation that evokes the feeling of your wish fulfilled
• Write as if your wish is a present fact
• Appreciate your wish as if it is a present fact
• Remember the present moment as if it has passed and your wish is now a fact

And so on and so forth; there are, of course, many other methods to work with.

No matter the method you choose, though, you must employ the Language of Presence.

You must employ the Language of Presence so as to evoke, and sustain, the sensations, feelings, and emotions that compose the feeling of your wish.

You must employ the Language of Presence and sculpt your experience of the present moment.

Or, again, it seems like you should, based on my experiences; your experiences may differ.

No matter what, though, please listen to your heart and harness your creative power.

You are a creative being and your desires are worth pursuing.

Conclusion

Once again, my apologies for the messy structure of this essay.

Some of my core points are muddled and unclear. Some of my main ideas are confusing.

Regardless of those flaws, though, my hope is that you enjoyed this essay and got something good out of it.

If the “something good” is a slightly greater appreciation for the uniqueness that you are, then that is more than good enough!

No matter what, though, thank you so much for reading this essay!
