The Idea List
Our intention, with this essay, is sharing.
Sharing what?
A practice that changed my life.
The Idea List
Just as the name suggests, the idea list is a list of ideas.
You can make a list of ten ideas.
Or, twenty ideas.
And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.
Outside of the above, your idea list can be centered on a question.
Or, alternatively, a prompt, theme, focal point; ad infinitum.
All you must do is select a theme and, then, come up with a couple of ideas.
A Good Example
A good example of our idea list practice is found right below:
- The idea list changed our life because it gave us the ability to generate ideas with incredible ease.
- The idea list gave us the skills to articulate ourselves with much greater ease.
- The idea list allowed me to come up with so many ideas, some of which changed my life.
- The idea list led to new methods, tools, and practices that I used to bring many of my wishes to fruition.
- The idea list gave me a deep appreciation for ideas, concepts, and ideation; among other things.
Our prompt, for the above, was/is “how did the idea list change my life?”
The Best Way To Make An Idea List
The best way to make an idea list is to think of a prompt.
Or, for that matter, a question.
A theme. A notion. A focus.
And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.
Right after that, write down, to the best of your ability, five or ten — give or take — ideas regarding that.
Just as an example, you could think about five businesses you could start.
If you do the above, let yourself write down anything that comes to mind, even if you aren’t sure about it.
You will make/find something good.
