The Higher Sets Of Infinities : A Vision Of Infinity

Our intention, with this essay, is sharing.

Sharing what?

A vision of higher infinities very similar to what we outlined in “A Neverending Tower Of Infinity-Visions.”

Visions Of Infinity

Just read the sentence below.

“Infinite infinities, endless transcendence, unending vastness, a neverending wealth of eternities; ad infinitum.”

This is a simple, if rather opaque, description of an infinite.

Or, at least, it’s a collection of vague descriptors.

Every single one of these descriptors serves as a means of enriching an infinite thing.

Conveying the unending vastness of that infinite thing.

Just as an example, we might have a sentence that goes something like “A neverending generator of infinite essays, articles, content, writings; ad infinitum.”

Right after this sentence, we can add “Infinite infinities, endless transcendence, unending vastness, a neverending wealth of eternities; ad infinitum.”

By adding this sentence, we convey three pieces of information:

  1. Our list of terms is, in fact, far more infinite than one can imagine.
  2. The generator goes beyond notions of finitude, infinity, time; ad infinitum.
  3. Our conception of this generator exists beyond comprehension.

Or, at least, those are the three pieces of information we are trying to convey, even if we fail to do so.

On its own, this sentence — the one with those infinities — is sufficient.

It conveys infinities of various sorts.

But, the funny thing is, this sentence exists on a spectrum.

A spectrum that is not unlike the tower conveyed in the essay linked in the intro.

Our focal point, then, is this spectrum.

The Spectrum Of Infinities

Our spectrum possesses a beginning.

But, our spectrum possesses no ending.

You can wander across our spectrum for an infinite wealth of eternities.

And, you can do so, at an infinite speed.

No matter what you do, make, invent, create — ad infinitum — you will never, ever, reach any endings, limits, boundaries; ad infinitum, of course.

Somewhere within the earliest spaces of this spectrum, there is the sentence we shared in the previous section.

“Infinite infinities, endless transcendence, unending vastness, a neverending wealth of eternities; ad infinitum.”

Just beyond this sentence, there are an infinite wealth of other sentences.

Every single one of these sentences is different.

The further you go, the more vast these infinities become.

You can find reference to infinities that transcend our very conception of consciousness.

Or, long, winding sentences that take thousands of years to read.

And, you can even find sentences written in languages sculpted from pure light, feeling, and awe.

The list is endless.

Every further sentence is richer, and far more vast, than the ones prior to it.

On top of that, every further sentence contains, and articulates, infinities greater than that which we can know.

It all becomes larger, and far more vast, as it goes.

And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.

A Vision Of Infinity

Just imagine a number line.

“1. 2. 3. 4.”

And so on and so forth.

The number is a line.

No matter how many eternities you spend reading through the numbers on this number line, you will never reach an ending to the infinitude that is contained within the number line.

Just let yourself imagine that.

Right after you do so, imagine that this number line consists of sentences.

You can imagine the number one turning into a sentence.

A sentence that may, or may not, be this sentence.

“Infinite infinities, endless transcendence, unending vastness, a neverending wealth of eternities; ad infinitum.”

Right after that, you can imagine another sentence.

And then another.

Followed by another.

And, then, yet another sentence.

Ad infinitum.

The number line is our spectrum.

Every sentence is larger, and far more elaborate, than the previous sentence.

And, every sentence contains, and articulates, greater visions of infinity.

No matter how long you wander across this spectrum, you will never reach an end to the infinities it conveys.
