The Dimensionality Of Infinity
Our intention, with this essay, is clarifying.
Clarifying a unique vision.
A unique vision of infinity that captures infinity’s vastness.
So, with that in mind, let’s begin.
A Simple Fact
If something is infinite then, within the context of this essay and the vision being clarified, it is endless.
Or, more specifically, it has no endings, walls, ceilings, conclusions, limits, boundaries, borders, blockages; ad infinitum.
And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.
Our concern is not, solely, with this fact.
Rather, our concern is with what this fact means, and entails, with regards to infinite “things.”
And, this leads to our next section, as well as a photograph, which can be seen below.
A Neverending Vastness
You can find a photograph of a street, near my home, right below.
Our photograph is, of course, finite.
Or, at least, it appears to be, from our vantage point.
But, what if it isn’t?
Or, more specifically, what if you are inside of the photograph, and the inside of this photograph is infinite?
Just as an example, you might be a dot, in the middle of the photograph.
A small little dot, within the photograph, capable of moving around.
If the photograph is infinite, you can go through infinite, endless, eternal — ad infinitum — space, time, movement; ad infinitum.
And, even though the photograph is infinite, and you, as a dot, are going through infinite infinities of space, you will never, ever reach an ending, wall, boundary, limit, conclusion — ad infinitum — to the photograph.
The reason for this is simple: infinity has no endings, walls, boundaries, limits; ad infinitum.
Right within the infinite photograph, then, there are no endings, walls, boundaries, limits; ad infinitum.
Just beyond the photograph, seen from a higher-dimension, the infinite becomes, perhaps, finite.
Or, at least, a lot smaller.
All of this leads us to our third, and final, section.
The Power Of Relativity
On some level, infinity is relative.
Or, at least, it is, as per the example we outlined in the previous section.
But, what if it wasn’t?
What if there were some infinities — certain variations, as it were — that transcended, moved through, existed within — ad infinitum — infinite dimensions, perspectives, focuses; ad infinitum?
Just as an example, that infinite photograph is finite, when seen from this perspective. But, if it was made from the infinity we are discussing then, seen from this perspective, it is still infinite, endless, unending; ad infinitum.
And, even seen or interacted with — ad infinitum — from a higher perspective or dimension — ad infinitum — than ours, it remains endless, infinite, unending; ad infinitum.
Something about this really speaks to me.
Conclusion
Just to wrap this up, thank you so much for reading!
If you enjoyed this essay, that’s great! And, if you didn’t, my apologies.
Best wishes and have a great day!
