Living Your Best Life

No matter what anyone tells you, you can live the life you truly wish to live.

You can live a life that makes you feel as if you are truly living.

You can live a life that is filled with the blessings, treasures, and gifts you long for.

You can live a life that is the best life you can possibly live.

Your Best Life

Your life is your life. Your best life is your best life.

You are the one who defines the life you truly live.

No one else can do it for you, and no one else should do it for you.

Your deeply felt aims and ambitions are valuable. Your moments of bliss and passion are valuable. Your experiences of the divine and transcendent are valuable. Your passions and interests are valuable.

All of those little traits and qualities that make life worth living — for you, that is — are special.

So special, that they must be acknowledged and respected.

Living your best life, by its very nature, entails that you acknowledge what it is that makes you feel truly alive.

But, sometimes, we may not know what it is that makes us feel truly alive. Or, we may know what some of those things are, but are uncertain as to how we can use that knowledge to give birth to something special and significant.

When this is the case — and, even when it isn’t — there’s something to be said for looking beyond the minutiae.

Rather than focusing on the little details, you can focus on a single moment that consists of several feelings.

You can, in doing so, “go to the end”.

By going to the end, you forfeit the need to manage and control the specifics of your vision. You, instead, go directly to the life you wish to live, and surrender to the vision, and all that it consists of.

To accomplish this, there are two simple — deceptively simple, perhaps — methods outlined below.

Both methods are equally valid and equally powerful. One may resonate with you more, however, and if so, then you should use that method.

By engaging with either of these methods, you harness the innate creative abilities within you, surrendering to the vision of your best life. And, in doing so, you allow your life to change in the best of ways, without you needing to individually manage or control the elements of your life.

The reason for doing this is quite simple; in the end, your best life is a vast, perhaps ever-changing, vision that can be boiled down into two simple ideas: waking up with love, peace, and passion in your heart, and falling asleep with those same feelings in your heart.

Waking Up

Just for a moment, imagine if you woke up every single day and, when doing, felt a sense of deep appreciation for the life you were living, a surge of excitement at the wonderful possibilities inherent within the day, and inner peace regarding the life you are living and all that your life entails.

Just for a moment, imagine that.

You don’t need to think about the specifics that would allow for such a life to exist.

Rather, you just need to imagine, for the briefest of moments, waking up and feeling that way.

That is the essence of the following method.

You see, if you woke up every single day, and felt that way, you would be living a great life.

Perhaps, not your “best life” — in truth, I can’t say what your “best life” is, or what it means to you — but a life that is undeniably grand in some of the most notable ways.

A life that is, if nothing else, pleasurable and authentic.

To live that life, please do the following:

Close your eyes. Take a few gentle breaths; breathe in deeply, and release, at the pace that’s right for you.

Imagine that you are lying in bed. Light is shining into your space. You can feel the beginning of a new day.

Take a moment to feel the weight of your body against your mattress. Take a moment to feel yourself beginning to wake up. Take a moment to feel yourself adjusting to the light and motion of the day.

Let yourself experience those sensations.

Right after doing so, imagine, in whatever way feels right to you, that you are about to have a wonderful day. A wonderful day that is to be filled with lovely moments. Moments that you cherish and hunger for.

Let yourself imagine that this day is not unlike the other days. Rather, this is yet another beautiful, lovely, and blessed day.

Let yourself be swept up in a sense of appreciation, gratitude, peace, excitement, and love.

Open your eyes. Let those feelings reside for a moment, and then leave.

Know that, if you imagine this with persistence, it will cease to be “mere imagination”, and become a fact of your life.

Going To Sleep

The following method is similar to the method outlined above.

Close your eyes.

Take a moment to breathe in and out. Do so gently, at a pace that feels right to you.

Let yourself enjoy the experience of breathing in and out.

Eventually, take a moment to imagine yourself lying in bed.

Take a moment to feel the weight of your body on the mattress. Take a moment to feel the blanket held across your body. Take a moment to evoke the feeling of sleepiness, and the readiness to dream good dreams.

Imagine that you’ve had a wonderful day. A wonderful day that, in this moment, is a little vague, yet replete with feelings of joy, satisfaction, bliss, abundance, and love.

Just imagine that. Let yourself evoke those feelings with ease. You don’t need to force them, you can simply bring them up, enjoy them for a moment, and let them go.

Imagine that you are ready for tomorrow. But, not just ready for tomorrow; you’re excited for tomorrow.

You are excited for the wonderful moments, opportunities, and experiences that tomorrow will bring.

You are ready to fall asleep. You are ready to dream wonderful dreams. You are ready for the treasures of tomorrow.

Let yourself feel those feelings.

As soon as you feel that you are finished, you can open your eyes.

Know that, if you persist in feeling those feelings, those feelings, and all that you’ve imagined, will become a fact of your life.

Surrender

If you persist in feeling that you are living the best life you can live, you will begin to live the best life you can live.

The key — in my experience, and my experience only — is persisting in feeling those feelings, with as much regularity as possible, and surrendering to what comes forth.

You can forfeit micromanagement and control. In exchange, you can surrender, letting your life transform, and pursuing, with joy and excitement, the paths that open up for you, as if by magic.
