I Remember When
Your future exists as an infinite canvas of possibility.
Right now, within this moment, you can select the possibilities you wish to actualize.
And, in doing so, you can conjure the future you wish to live.
The game outlined below allows you to harness the power of gratitude to create your future.
To create your future with ease, speed, and power.
The “I Remember When” Game
The act of remembering is, fundamentally, an act of recalling the past.
Recalling what has already happened and, in turn, what cannot happen again.
But, what if that isn’t quite the case?
Rather, what if remembering is an act that can, in fact, extend into the future, within what can happen and what we are choosing to actualize?
What if you could “remember the future?”
The “I Remember When” game is a playful tool you can use to do just that.
You can select a desire or set of desires and, then, “remember” a series of experiences that pertain to the fulfillment of your desire, as well as your enjoyment of said desire.
Right before we dive into the “How” of this game, though, please allow me to share a brief story from my own life.
A quick story that centers on my use of this game to manifest something quite special.
A Story From My Own Life
On the night after Christmas, I received some news: a big snowstorm was about to hit Portland, Oregon.
I, being a resident of Portland, OR, would’ve been affected. And, while the snow is something that I appreciate, snowstorms are something that I, and presumably many others, am less than fond of.
To prevent this outcome from occurring, and to ensure that the next few days would be rich with abundance, love, and creativity, I chose to play a little game.
A little game that, as one might expect, is known as the “I Remember When” game.”
To play this game, I began to relax and unwind, eventually feeling a deep sense of relaxation.
Right after entering this state of being, I began to “remember the remainder of the year.
I remembered the lovely moments I shared with my family. I remembered the new client I heard from. I remembered the money I earned from this client. I remembered the fantastic New Years Eve party we enjoyed. I remembered the nachos we ate at this party.
And so on and so forth.
Right within these remembrances, there was the implicit assumption that a snowstorm did not, in fact, hit Portland.
Rather, all of my aims and ambitions — and, in particular, those that a snow storm would affect — came forth in a pleasant, lovely manner, allowing for a truly wonderful end-of-the-year experience to arise.
And, in the end, that is exactly what happened!
I was able to enjoy so many lovely moments with my family. I was able to receive new work and, in turn, good money for that work. I was able to enjoy a fantastic New Years Eve party with, of course, some tasty nachos as an appetizer.
But, what about the snow?
Snow fell into the city of Portland that night. But, only a little bit — a light dusting, if you will — allowing for a nice, pleasant snowy afternoon.
Soon after the snow fell, and as the sun began to shine, it slowly started to melt.
But, within those moments of presence, both the snow, and the wonderful gifts present within those moments, were deeply appreciated.
How Do You Play The “I Remember When” Game?
Every game consists of several rules. The rules for the “I Remember When” game are as follows:
- You must select either an intention or a set of intentions.
- You must imagine that you are “remembering” events that you wish to experience.
- You must appreciate these events, as you are imagining them.
- You must pretend/assume that these events are your future.
Outside of those rules, though, you can play the “I Remember When” game in any particular way that you would like to.
To play the “I Remember When” game in the manner that I played it, though, here is what you can do:
- Select an intention or, perhaps, a series of intentions you wish to experience.
- Set aside some time to close your eyes and relax.
- Right after you are in a relaxed state, go over your intentions.
- Allow yourself to imagine each one of these intentions being fulfilled.
- Allow yourself to feel as if these intentions are being fulfilled and, in fact, have been fulfilled.
- Be grateful for the fulfillment of these intentions and the moments you are experiencing.
- Conclude the session and know, on some level, that it is done.
Some of these steps may be rather abstract/confusing. But, if you allow yourself to imagine and play, while also working with the sensibilities and practices that resonate with you, you will be able to “remember” your future.
And, of course, in “remembering” your future, you will be able to create your desired future.
