Going Beyond Money
Money is one of the most important resources we can have and use.
Our efforts to obtain money, and use it wisely, are valid and productive.
But, there’s just one small problem: it’s far too easy to focus entirely on money, while ignoring what it is what we would like to use the money for.
When we focus entirely on money, we often focus on the middle of a particular wish — a wish to travel or be secure, to name two examples — rather than the wish.
By doing so, you make bringing that wish to life far more difficult. This is because you are focusing on what allows the wish to arise, rather than the wish itself and, as such, your experience of that wish.
To live the life you truly wish to live, you can, and should, focus on what you desire.
What you truly desire and yearn for.
To accomplish this, you can go beyond money and the supposed financial realities that govern your dreams and ambitions.
But, to accomplish that, it often helps to use a method.
You will find this method below, as well as a few other, potentially useful, notions.
Money Is Good. But It’s Not Always Necessary.
Money is often a means to end, rather than the end itself.
Just as an example, if you wish to live abroad in, say, Malaysia, you will need money.
You can focus on manifesting money and, in doing so, you may acquire the money you need.
But, you don’t have to do this and, in fact, you may be better off trying something else.
Rather than focusing purely on money, you can focus on what you truly desire, which is to live in Malaysia.
Or, well, whatever it is that you, specifically, desire.
The act of focusing on what you truly desire allows that particular desire to manifest with ease.
For that particular desire, you may receive the money necessary to live in Malaysia.
Or, you may find that events arrange themselves in an entirely new way.
A way that allows you to go to Malaysia with even greater ease and joy than one tied to money.
To go along with that, you may find that, in focusing on living in Malaysia and having a great time, money comes to you in great amounts, along with a wealth of other things.
The reason for this is simple: when you focus on your intention, you focus on your experience.
Your experience, assuming it’s a positive one, will almost always include freedom and joy and security and, well, an abundance of other things.
All of these come together, within the experience you imagine, so as to bring your wish to life.
What Do You Want?
To perform this exercise, think of ten things you want.
Your ten things can be anything. Anything at all.
Just to give you an example, here is my list:
• To Live In Cambodia For 2-Years — I’m Returning In February Of 2023
• To Give My Family/Friends Some Great Christmas Gifts
• Another 8GB RAM Stick For My PC
• To Return To, And Live In, Malaysia For Several Months
• Some New Pants
• Some New Socks
• A New Pair Of Glasses
• To Have Produced/Created A Music Album
• To Write A Collection Of Short Stories
• Some New Books
And so on and so forth.
Right after making your list, give yourself five-to-ten-minutes to imagine.
To imagine what?
To imagine each one of those wishes, as if they are a present fact.
Rather than considering the money you need to bring these wishes to life, or anything of that sort, just imagine that these wishes are a fact of your life.
You can accomplish this in a number of ways. Some of my favorite methods include:
• Conducting An Inner Conversation
• Writing It Real
• Appreciating Your Wish As A Present Fact
Give yourself some time to imagine each wish as a reality.
And, then, let it go.
Or, at least, focus on something else for the time being.
You may be surprised at what happens.
Many of your wishes may come forth with remarkable ease, in a way unrelated to money.
Others may not, but if you imagine on a somewhat regular basis, you may find that they come forth with remarkable ease, as well.
No matter what, though, give it a try.
Just see what happens when you go beyond money and into what you truly desire
Just Imagine
You are a creative being.
You are a creative being who possesses a creative power beyond all that is.
You are a creative power.
And, with the creative power that you possess and are, all things are possible.
Given this fact, why confine yourself to the possibilities that money, and the “financial realities” that money often implies, allows for?
Why confine yourself at all?
Rather than confining yourself to what is or what appears to be, ask yourself what it is that you truly desire.
And, then, imagine that.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s possible that nothing much will happen.
But, in my experience, it’s far more likely that something will happen.
Something beautiful. Something fun. Something exciting.
Something that you truly desire.
And, more often than not, this event occurs in a way that appears natural and inevitable.
But, it’s not.
You are the one who orchestrates such events.
The simple act of conducting your imagination is what orchestrates the fulfillment of your desires.
So, if nothing else, take a few minutes today to play with this notion.
To play within your imagination, giving life to a new desire.
Conclusion
Even though money is very important, it is not the facilitator of our dreams.
Rather, our dreams, and their fulfillment, go beyond money.
You, as a creative being, can go beyond money.
Doing so is quite easy, too; just think of something you want and imagine that it is yours.
Just imagine that it is yours, right now, in this moment.
If you can do that, then you can do just about anything.
