Go To The End
The work of Neville Goddard is filled with extraordinary ideas of tremendous practicality. A number of the essays on this blog are centered around some of those ideas, and this essay is a continuation of that exact trend.
For every desire that we possess, there is an “end result” that we can go to. Concentrating on this end result, and allowing the feelings that come from this end result to overwhelm our present moment, allows us to not only manifest that which we desire, but also makes it far easier for us to learn what it is that we truly long for.
No matter what it is that you desire, you can “go to the end”. Through the act of going to the end, you gain the ability to feel, as a reality, your desire — no matter what it may be — while also growing to understand what it is that you truly desire.
Go To The End
Back in November, of 2017, I read my first Neville Goddard book. It was “Your Faith Is Your Fortune”, if I remember correctly, and reading it was a life-changing experience. At the time, though, that fact was not known to me.
“Your Faith Is Your Fortune” is a rich text that is filled to the brim with some extraordinary ideas. There were three ideas, though, that really stood out to me.
The first of these ideas was the idea that your Imagination is God. Your Imagination is God and, as a result, your life follows that which you are Imagining. Change what you imagine and you change the life that you live.
The second idea that transformed my entire understanding of the universe is that feeling your desires, as a present fact, is the secret to manifestation. Up to that point, I was still pretty unclear on the mechanics of manifestation, attraction, creation; and things of that nature.
The third, and final, idea that changed everything for me was the concept of “going to the end”. Rather than focusing on the means through which your desire will be realized, go to the end of your desire, after your desire has become a reality.
Ever since reading “Your Faith Is Your Fortune” — and the other works that Neville Goddard wrote — those ideas have been the bedrock of my engagement with my Imagination and, as a result, my life.
No matter the desire that I possess, I use my Imagination and go to the end.
If I want to buy something, for example, I focus on possessing that thing, rather than the money needed to purchase that thing. If I want to create new relationships, as another example, I focus on feeling as if these friendships are a part of my life, and have been for some time. If I am choosing to have a great experience, I focus on the moments after the experience, and the sense of gratitude that comes with having had a great experience to remember and share with others.
There Is No Need To Devise The Means
The concept of “going to the end” is, while simple, far deeper than it may appear at first glance. You see, concentrating on the end result of your desire isn’t the only practice embedded within the concept; you must also remember that there is no need for you to devise the means of your desire fulfilling itself.
No matter what it is that you desire, you can go to the end and feel it as a reality. You do not need to devise the means of your desire fulfilling itself. You do not need to figure out how you will become a great writer, the ways in which you will be able to move to South Korea, or how you will become wealthy; among an infinite number of other desires.
All you must do is go to the end and feel your desire as a fully-realized fact.
Since this is the case, there is no need for you to rely on old assumptions that no longer serve you. Many of us — and, really, by “many of us”, I am only referring to myself — rely on the past as a model for what is, and is not, possible. But, you don’t need to do that anymore. You don’t need to rely on the past as a model for what’s possible and what’s impossible; just know what you desire and forfeit concepts of “probability” and “possibility” by going directly to the end and inhabiting that end by feeling your desire as a present fact.
Inhabit The End; You Will Succeed
To make use of this concept, that of “going to the end”, you must know what you desire.
Right after you know what you desire, you must think about what the “end result” of this desire is, and then after you decide what that end result is, you will need to inhabit it.
To inhabit the end result, you must feel what you would feel were that end result taking place in this exact moment, and then you must sustain that feeling.
No matter what it is that you desire, by applying this basic formula, you will succeed. You will succeed and, more often than not, you will succeed in a manner that goes beyond your expectations, for you are no longer consigned to old assumptions and patterns of behavior. You are going to the end and surrendering to your infinite creative power.
Conclusion
In the end, no matter what it is that you desire, all that you must do is go to the end and inhabit the end. Do this, and you will succeed.
