Expand Your Vision Of Yourself

The work of living the best life that you can live, so to speak, never truly ends. As beings of infinite creativity, we are meant to create wonderful visions, we are meant to reach those visions, and then we are meant to create greater visions that allow for greater living.

To create and reach the visions we possess, we must engage with the infinite creativity that is within us. That is a basic concept that, on this blog, I mention in every single essay.

But, the more that I read and play, the more that I realize just how vast our creative abilities, as human beings, are, and just how open-ended the work of living the best life that we can live truly is.

No one has all of the answers, of course, but I find Neville Goddard’s work to be, if nothing else, exceptionally clarifying.

So, I picked up a book filled with Nevile’s writings, and I came across the quote that you will see below. This quote is simple, practical, and highly elucidating.

“Your Opinion Of Yourself Is Your Most Important Viewpoint. You Are Infinitely Greater Than You Think You Are.”

Your Opinion Of Yourself Is Your Most Important Viewpoint

Everything that we see, do, and experience comes from ourselves.

More specifically, though, it comes from our consciousness, which, you might say, is the mechanism through which we experience all that makes up this world of the senses.

Your consciousness is conditioned through your thoughts, assumptions, feelings, and emotions. The most important of these conditions are the conditions that relate directly to who you are, what you are capable of, what you can do; and so on and so forth.

Everything that you see, do, or experience comes from your consciousness. Your conditions affect everything about you and your life — in ways that may be impossible to truly narrow down or quantify.

By changing the conditions of our consciousness, we change our world.

The act of creating new conditions — perhaps, conditions that pertain to our extraordinary nature, limitless creative abilities, magnetic personality; ad infinitum — changes our world in many, many ways.

Since everything that you see, do, or experience comes from your consciousness, the most important act that you can perform is that of conditioning yourself to be the person you wish to be.

You Are Infinitely Greater Than You Think You Are

Everyone — and, by “everyone”, I am only speaking of myself — thinks of themselves as being certain things and being certain ways.

As an example, I think of myself as being Max, a male of 20-years old, who lives in Portland, Oregon. Those are just a few very simple examples, but everyone has similar examples.

Without these conditions, engaging with other people, and the world around us, would be a difficult and less-than-pleasant task.

But, in the end, these conditions are limitations. There is nothing wrong with limitations, but no matter what, we are greater than any limitation we take on.

Regardless of who you assume yourself to be, and regardless of what the facts of your life would appear to indicate regarding who you are, you must know that you are infinitely greater than you think you are.

Forgetting that is, unfortunately, all too easy. But, it is the truth of the matter. We are infinitely greater than we think we are.

Expand Your Vision

If there is a message that I want to convey, it’s that the act of expanding our vision and holding a higher opinion of ourselves is, perhaps, the most important work we can do.

To expand our vision, the best thing that we can do is, in my experience, possessing a vision of where we want to be and who we want to be, and then being consistent in making that vision a reality.

Being consistent, in making that vision a reality, requires taking the time, every single day, to create yourself. To affirm that you are who you wish to be, to give birth to new assumptions, and to feel yourself as having the traits and qualities you wish to possess and experience.

Time may pass before the world around you begins reflecting your inner transformations. But, in the end, it will, for your consciousness is a reflection of all that exists around you. Changing what’s within changes what’s outside.
