Diving Into Your Wish

The “Diving Into Your Wish” game is a personal favorite of mine.

And, in fact, it may be my favorite gratitude game of all time.

Many reasons exist for this. But, for me, the most notable reason is twofold:

  • “Diving Into Your Wish” is really fun.
  • “Diving Into Your Wish” is really effective.

Seriously, this game is not only a blast to play, it really, really works.

And, with that, let’s begin!

Diving Into Your Wish

The main idea behind “Diving Into Your Wish” is, as the name suggests, diving into your wish.

Diving into your wish and appreciating the various facets of your wish.

Rather than appreciating these facets as if they are detached from your experience or this moment, you appreciate these facets as if you are experiencing them right now.

Just to give you an example, if you would like to live on a beach in Mexico, then you can appreciate the life that you are living on this beach in Mexico.

You can appreciate the sand and the ocean and the friends you’ve made and the adventures you’re going on; and so on and so forth.

All of this allows you to step into the experience of the wish fulfilled.

By stepping into the experience of the wish fulfilled, you can, and will, manifest your wish.

Right before we go over the specific system that underlies this game, allow me to share a story from my own life.

A Story From My Own Life

Sometime in March of 2022, I was looking for a job.

A writing job.

Or, at least, something to that effect.

Something fun and easy.

Something enjoyable.

Something that paid really well.

Something that went well with my lifestyle and served to enhance that lifestyle.

I knew what I wanted and, with that, I began to appreciate it.

Rather than appreciating this job and this work as a detached entity, of sorts, I chose to do something else.

I chose to appreciate the different facets of this job and, in turn, my life while engaged with this work. Some of these facets were as follows:

  • Working with people who were nice.
  • Having more than enough time to do what I really wanted to do.
  • Having more than enough money to do what I really wanted to do.
  • Being paid well.
  • Doing work that I enjoyed.

And so on and so forth.

Each one of these facets was appreciated as if my work, and my life, were aligned with them.

And, then, I received a job.

Or, more specifically, I heard from a client whom I had worked with once. And, they wanted to hire me, but not for the position I had worked with them on.

Rather, they chose to hire me for outreach.

I became the outreach specialist for this company.

And, it must be said, those were some of the most fun, pleasant, and rewarding months of my professional life!

Everything came forth in a natural manner, as if it would’ve happened anyway. But, of course, that is not the case; my thoughts, feelings, and intentions sculpted the events I experienced.

How Do You Play The “Diving Into Your Wish” Game?

Right before you begin the “Diving Into Your Wish” game, you must select a wish.

Select your wish and, then, begin to appreciate your wish.

Appreciate the various facets that compose your wish.

But, when you appreciate your wish, focus on your experience of the wish.

Rather than appreciating, say, the beauty of a particular place that you wish to visit, appreciate the beauty that you enjoyed — or are enjoying — while visiting a particular place.

Surrender to this experience and, in doing so, allow yourself to appreciate the experience.

You will bring this wish to life, if you appreciate the reality of your wish.

Outside of this basic system, you can, and should, appreciate at least ten things about your wish.

Just ten things. But, if you want to appreciate more things, then you absolutely should!
