Dare To Dream
No matter what anyone says, there are two things you must remember; you are a creative being who possesses extraordinary creative abilities, and your dreams matter.
You Are A Creative Being
You are a creative being.
You are a creative being who possesses extraordinary creative abilities.
You can use these creative abilities to become who you wish to be, live the life you hunger to live, and create that which you truly desire.
Through the act of embracing who you are, and what you are capable of, you can give birth to all that you long for and dream of.
None of those statements are unique or, in the end, particularly valuable.
Each one of these statements, however, is true.
You are far more powerful than you know. You possess resources and abilities that go beyond your current conception of yourself. You can live the life you wish to live.
Remember these things, as best as you can.
For, in doing so, you will give yourself permission to dream, and you will feel free to make your dreams a reality.
Your Dreams Matter
Your dreams matter.
So do your night dreams, for that matter. But, in this context, we’re talking about your deeply-felt wishes and desires.
Your dreams, wishes, and desires matter.
Not just the big ones, and not just the ones that other people and other forces — parents, school, marketing, television — tell you are valuable and worth pursuing.
Rather, all your dreams, wishes, and desires matter.
Even the simple dreams, the ones that others might laugh at or find rather eccentric; those dreams matter, too.
The reason they matter is quite simple: this is your life, and you are free to live the life you want to live, and to pursue that which you truly love and value.
No matter what you dream of, and no matter what you long for, know that there is value in pursuing and giving birth to such things.
Even a seemingly all-too-simple dream, such as living in a nice studio apartment and having enough time to read books for a few hours every single day, is a valuable dream worth engaging with.
Even the big dreams, the dreams that involve giving birth to new technologies, creating unique works of art, and building something that will last for many years; these dreams are also invaluable and always worth acknowledging and engaging with.
No matter what anyone says, and no matter what you tell yourself, your dreams matter.
Dare To Dream
Just remember, your life is your life to live, and your dreams matter.
Dare to dream.
Dare to dream from the heart.
Dare to pursue that which is truly meaningful.
Dare to create that which you truly long for and crave.
Dare to follow your loves and passions.
Dare to follow your curiosities and obsessions.
Dare to live the life you truly wish to live.
Conclusion
None of what is written in this essay is unique or, perhaps, all that valuable.
Even so, though, the ideas in this essay have always been valuable to me.
Sometimes, you can forget who you are and what you are capable of.
If you remind yourself of who you are regularly, and seek to make this recognition a habit, then you can always return to who you are and what you are capable of.
That is, in the end, why I wrote this essay. And, in the end, I hope you enjoyed reading this essay, and I hope you found it valuable!
