Throughout his years as a spiritual teacher, Neville Goddard shared a wide assortment of unique methods and techniques.

Each one of the methods and techniques Neville shared is, in its own way, exceptionally useful.

A personal favorite of mine, though, is the congratulatory conversation method.

You will, by reading this essay, learn all about what makes this method so special, and how you can use this method to bring your wishes and desires to fruition.

What Is A Congratulatory Conversation?

A congratulatory conversation is just what it sounds like: a conversation in which someone congratulates you.

The “someone” in this conversation could be congratulating you for anything.

Perhaps, you’ve just finished writing your novel. Perhaps, you’ve just earned a fantastic commision. Perhaps, you just earned your Master’s Degree.

You can use this particular method to accomplish just about anything.

Within your congratulatory conversation, a person of your choosing will congratulate you on your accomplishment.

By engaging with this method, you can enter a conversation, with your chosen person, that implies you’ve accomplished what you desire to accomplish.

The conversation will evoke certain feelings that pertain to your desire.

Neville Goddard spoke of these feelings as one larger feeling known as “the feeling of the wish fulfilled”.

The feeling of the wish fulfilled often involves a feeling of accomplishment, a sense of gratitude, and, perhaps, a little bit of pride.

If you can evoke the feeling of the wish fulfilled, then you can transform your wish into a present fact of your life.

A congratulatory conversation is, in the end, just one method of bringing your wish to fulfillment.

But, as a method, congratulatory conversations are easy, fun, and, in my experience, very effective.

How Can You Create A Congratulatory Conversation?

To create a congratulatory conversation, you must know what it is that you desire.

Your desire can be anything.

Just make sure that you know what it is and, more importantly, what it would feel like to be congratulated for the fulfillment of that particular wish.

Once you know that, you can move onto the next step.

Take a moment to think of someone you love and respect.

Someone you share your successes with.

A close friend, perhaps, or a trusted family member.

After you find that person, begin to imagine something.

Begin to imagine that you are telling them about your success.

Let your thoughts come together, and hear yourself saying those words.

You can spend as much, or as little, time as you want on this particular step.

For me, personally, I narrow this down to a sentence or two, because that’s what I normally do when I share successes.

Right after you do that, hear them saying something that serves as a “congratulations”.

Any particular statement will do.

For this to feel natural — and real — though, it’s best if you find a statement that is reminiscent of what they would actually say.

Once you find that statement, play it to yourself, in your imagination.

Let yourself enjoy the sense of accomplishment, gratitude, and pride emanating from this conversation.

Let yourself enjoy the sense of accomplishment, gratitude, and pride emanating from your fulfilled wish.

Right after you spend a few moments doing so, feel free to adjust your focus and concentrate on something else.

Know that, by engaging in your congratulatory conversation, you are bringing forth your desire with ease and naturalism.

Any Good Examples?

To make this method a little easier, let’s go through one simple — and short — example.

Even though this example pertains to one very specific desire, you can use the basic ideas for any wish or desire.

Remember to focus on the feeling of the wish fulfilled, and everything that serves to evoke the feeling of the wish fulfilled.

A New Job

Let’s say that you want a new job.

You want a new job that offers good pay, good hours, and good benefits.

Right now, you are unemployed. But, you’re looking for a job that offers what you desire.

Take a moment to imagine telling someone special — your wife/husband, for example — that you were hired for a job that fulfills each one of the desires mentioned earlier.

Let yourself hear the conversation.

Then, imagine that person congratulating you — “That’s so awesome, congratulations honey!” — and feeling the happiness in their voice.

You can even bring other sensory details into this conversation, such as a smile on their face, a big hug, or a handshake.

Along with many, many other possibilities.

Let yourself reside within those feelings.

If you need to, loop the conversation over and over again, a few times.

Once you finish, know that, despite what your senses may suggest, you’ve brought a wonderful new job into your life.

Conclusion

In the end, congratulatory conversations are one of the simplest, easiest, and most effective methods Neville Goddard ever shared.

My deepest hope is that, by reading this essay, you’ve come away with the ability to create your own congratulatory conversations, and are ready to create those conversations for your wishes and desires.
