Catching The Mood Of Your Best Life

Out of all the concepts Neville Goddard shared, my very favorite may just be “Going To The End.”

Rather than concerning yourself with the means of fulfillment, you can focus on the end result of your desire.

Just as an example, if you want to write a book, you can imagine having written that book and, then, experiencing that book, in your imagination, as a present fact.

Our subject today is not “Going To The End,” though.

Rather, our subject today is “Going To The End,” with regards to living a great life.

A life rich with gifts, opportunities, blessings, possibilities; and so on and so forth.

Our subject today is a method of stepping into such a life, as it relates to Goddard’s work.

Right before we begin, though, there’s one thing to note: my experience with this method is limited.

My future experiments are going to center around this method, as well as its variations.

With that in mind, my hope is that you, too, will experiment with this method.

You may be surprised at what happens and what comes into your life.

A Neville Goddard Story

My favorite Neville Goddard stories are those that illustrate two things: the ease and simplicity of using our creative power and the infinite gifts that can arise when we do so.

Out of all the stories that Goddard shared, my favorite may, very well, be the story below.

Or, rather, the story, in its true form, as what you can find below is a paraphrasing of that story.

A middle-aged woman was beset with all manner of problems and inconveniences.

Many of these problems and inconveniences centered around a lack of money and the fruits of such a thing.

Stepping into the feeling of having a car and a nice home and all manner of other nice things was quite tricky for this woman.

Rather than doing that, the woman imagined that something absolutely wonderful was happening to her, within that exact moment.

The state of “Something Wonderful Is Happening” was encapsulated by the phrase “Isn’t It Wonderful?”.

Every night, as the woman fell asleep, she conjured this state of being and slept in the knowing that something wonderful was happening right now, within this moment.

Within the span of two-months, the woman received a letter from an old friend who had become exceptionally wealthy.

For reasons unknown to the woman, yet greatly appreciated, this old friend chose to give the woman a monthly income that allowed her to enjoy all of the fine and lovely things in life.

And, then, one-year after this arrangement began, the woman was invited to sign legal papers, guaranteeing the continuation of this monthly income for the rest of her natural life.

The woman in this story did not need to work for this money or, really, do much of anything at all.

All that was necessary was for the woman to fall asleep knowing that something wonderful was happening, in this moment, even if she couldn’t see it.

Going To The End

Many of our desires are, in fact, conditions.

Conditions that often obfuscate our deepest desires.

Just as an example, a desire for a job can be, and often is, a desire for financial security.

And, of course, financial security is a desire in its own right, yet cannot be separated from a desire for financial freedom which is, in turn, a desire for freedom.

No matter the desire, though, it is often in service of another, far greater, desire.

The desire, in question, is that of living a great life.

A life rich with blessings, opportunities, gifts, stories, friends; and so on and so forth.

Your vision of a great life will, of course, differ from mine.

No matter your vision, though, you can live a great life that aligns with your desires.

To accomplish this, you can focus on the elements that make up a great life.

By doing so, you will be able to bring those elements to life, allowing you to enjoy a great life.

Sometimes, though, as in the story shared earlier, this is a little tricky.

Rather than focusing on each desire, you can focus on the end result of your greater desire.

Your greater desire to live a truly magnificent life.

You can live within the knowing that you are living such a life and that things are getting better and better every single day.

And, when you do this, you will move into the state of living a great life.

All that a great life contains and offers will come into being.

Or, at least, that is my hypothesis and, to some extent, my experience.

No matter my experience, though, it’s important to test this out for yourself.

Falling Asleep Within The Fulfillment Of Your Wish

Even though the “State Akin To Sleep” method, as it is known, was one of Neville Goddard’s favorites, it isn’t one of mine.

Something about falling asleep in the wish fulfilled has always been a little tricky for me.

But, the funny thing is, it does, in fact, work really, really well.

The act of falling asleep in the wish fulfilled facilitates all manner of wonderful gifts.

Given this fact, it’s worth combining this practice with the concepts outlined above.

To accomplish this, as you are falling asleep, imagine that you are living a great life.

Or, perhaps, your best life.

Something simple and easy, yet delightful and enjoyable.

You can conjure a sense of excitement and enthusiasm. You can conjure a sense of appreciation and happiness. You can conjure a sense of freedom and possibility.

And so on and so forth.

Conjure the feelings that imply you are living your best life.

Allow these feelings to persist and exist within you, regardless of what appears to be.

Sustain these feelings. Surrender to their growth.

And, then, allow yourself to rest and relax, within this state.

Don’t worry about what is or what appears to be; know that, in imagining this life, you have brought it to fruition.

Sure, you may not be able to see or touch it right now. But, you will be.

And, then, if you can, fall asleep within this state.

You can make this as intense and vivid as you wish. Or, you can allow it to be relaxed and fun and pleasant.

Choose what works for you.

No matter what you choose, though, persist.

Persist in falling asleep within the state of living your best life.

Or, perhaps, do it for a few days and, if nothing else, pay attention to what happens.

My promise to you is that something will happen.

Something good.

You may, in fact, live your best life.

You may, in fact, find that things shift with remarkable ease.

On the other hand, nothing of that sort may happen.

No matter what, though, giving this a try, for just a few days, will create distinct changes.

So, please, give it a shot and just see what happens.

You may be pleasantly surprised.

Conclusion

Your creative power is truly extraordinary.

Rather than existing within the confines of desires that fail to capture what you truly yearn for, you can concentrate on greater, far more meaningful, desires.

And, in doing so, you can harness your creative power to bring them to life.

No matter what you choose to do, though, thank you so much for reading!
