A Walk Within The Labyrinth

Our goal, with this essay, is to clarify a method.

A method you can use to:

  • Conjure inspiration.
  • Find new ideas.
  • Obtain guidance.

And so on and so forth.

Right before we go over the specifics of this method, we are going to tell a story.

A story written in the second-person perspective.

Right after this story, though, you will learn the specifics of our method.

A Walk Within The Labyrinth

On a cool, rainy day, within the womb of Winter, you step outside.

You step outside and you begin to walk.

You walk and walk and, eventually, you reach your destination.

A beautiful park.

Right before you enter this park, you go into your mind.

You say “Thank you.”

And, in saying “Thank you,” you appreciate the presence of that which you desire.

You walk through the entrance to this park.

And, then, you begin to walk through long, green hills; mossy steps; water reservoirs no longer in use; vacant tennis courts; grassy picnic spaces.

You walk and walk.

Eventually, you reach a space; a space of benches and peaks and horizons.

You sit down on the bench.

You give yourself the gift of a pleasant, comfortable meditation.

And, as the meditation comes to an end, you walk.

You walk through the paths you have already visited.

And, then, you reach the entrance of the park, which has now become your exit.

You walk back home.

And, as soon as you return home, you find something.

You find a wealth of ideas, each one flowing to the surface of your mind, ready to be recorded.

And, with that, you say “Thank you,” and begin the work of recording your ideas.

Our Method

Every single component of our method can be found within the story found above.

Even so, though, we can, and are, going to make it a little simple.

And, with that in mind, our method is as follows:

  • Select an intention; your intention may be a new idea, inspiration, guidance.
  • Choose a place to walk across; somewhere labyrinthine and intricate, such as a big park or a neighborhood.
  • Right before you enter your chosen destination, say “Thank you.”
  • Give yourself a moment to appreciate the fulfillment of your intention; to feel grateful and thankful.
  • Walk across, and through, your chosen destination.
  • Record anything that comes to you, especially if it appears to be related to your intention.

You can apply this method to many, many things.

Out of all the things you can apply this method to, though, my favorite is inspiration.

And, in turn, new ideas and concepts, along with new creative paths.

No matter what, though, please use this method for what you truly, dearly hunger for.

Conclusion

No, this isn’t the longest — or best, for that matter — essay.

But, the method within this essay works.

It really, really works.

No matter what, though, thank you so much for reading this essay!
