A Random Input Module For Infinite Writing — Part 02
Our intention, with this essay, is sharing.
Sharing what?
A set of tools you can use to interact with the RIM in “A Random Input Module For Infinite Writing — Part 01.”
Right before we begin, there is one thing to clarify.
All of this is for me.
Seriously.
Every single one of these tools is something that resonates with me.
Just as the RIM is something that resonates with me.
It probably won’t resonate with you — I’m sorry, that’s presumptuous — since it’s such a specific thing.
But, if you like this kind of thing, then that’s awesome!
Regardless of that little detail, though, let’s dive into it!
Tool 01: The Infinite Power Of Combination
Combination is a medium of exploration.
A medium of exploration that gives birth to infinite ideas.
Infinite ideas. Infinite concepts. Infinite paths.
And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.
Our RIM is a great illustration of this fact.
You can interact with the medium of combination by taking two items from our RIM.
Or, really, any number of items, in any number of ways.
And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.
Just as an example, “Inner Conversations” and, then, “Forgotten Worlds.”
Right off the bat, this makes me think of “forgotten worlds made of inner conversations that were sculpted from the ashes of forgotten beings who grew entire galaxies with their thoughts.”
Or, alternatively, using inner conversations to summon, within our minds, imaginal worlds.
Imaginal worlds that allow us to explore our emotions, feelings, yearnings; and so on and so forth.
Yet another example is “The Reinvigoration Method” and, then, “Gratitude Games.”
This makes me think of turning our reinvigoration method into a gratitude game.
A writing-based gratitude game.
Or, perhaps, something like that.
And, well, those are just two examples.
Out of the infinite possibilities, paths, potentials — ad infinitum — that combination can give birth to.
Tool 02: The Endless Power Of Riffing
Our second tool is quite similar to the first.
But, there is one major difference: instead of merely combining a few things — although, that is something you can do, within this tool — you riff on the items you gather.
A good example of this is as follows: you use the RIM and get “The Ocean” and “Gratitude Games.”
If I riff on this — coming up with, say, ten ideas regarding this — then I get the following:
- Developing a gratitude game that involves visualizing a Cosmic Ocean, of sorts.
- Making an essay that outlines a gratitude game you can use to go on a nice vacation.
- All things come from the Ocean, including ideas, people, and thoughts.
- Outlining how gratitude games and other ideas are connected to the Ocean/water.
- Some sort of Cosmic Ocean, of infinite gratitude, that we all have access to.
- The same thing as the above. But, infinite feelings and states — ad infinitum — we have access to.
- A method for channeling any state or feeling — ad infinitum — from this Ocean.
- A peculiar experiment in which we appreciate the infinite Ocean of creativity that we have/truly are.
- Some sort of prayer-esque ritual in which we pray, and say “Thank you” to, a Cosmic Ocean.
- Ocean visualization games that facilitate states of gratitude and, in turn, manifestation. Or, something.
And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.
Every single one of the above is rooted in some form of the following:
- Combination
- Synthesis
- Association
All of these allow for an infinite wealth of ideas to arise with remarkable ease.
Tool 03: The Limitless Power Of Meditation
Our third, and final, tool is far more…intuitive, than the first two.
You can obtain a few items from the RIM.
Just as an example, “The Holographic Universe” and, then, “Waterfalls.”
Right after you do so, let yourself meditate on the items.
You can think about them.
You can close your eyes and “imagine” them.
You can ask yourself for new ideas.
And so on and so forth.
Give yourself permission to meditate on the items you obtained.
By doing so, something — some idea or possibility, among other things — will arrive.
“A holographic universe born from the reverberations echoing from a single waterfall.”
That is what came to me, upon meditating on my selection.
No, it’s not very good. But, as far as vague “creation stories” go, it has some measure of promise.

You can use my RIM — or, any other RIM — in any manner you choose.
Even so, though, the tools outlined above are very, very useful.
My hope is that you experiment with them, if you intend to use a RIM of any sort.
