Several days ago, “9 Transformative Appreciation Games — Part 01” was published.

You will find, in that piece, three transformative appreciation games.

Just under one-day ago, “9 Transformative Appreciation Games — Part 02” was published.

Since this is “9 Transformative Appreciation Games — Part 03” you will, in this brief essay, find the final three appreciation games.

For those who are unclear as to what these appreciation games are, or the purposes they are intended to serve, please read “9 Transformative Appreciation Games — Introduction”.

With all of that out of the way, let’s dive in!

A Beautiful Life

Right now, in this moment, there exists a limitless abundance of things you can appreciate.

Many of these are right in front of you, present within this very moment.

To play this game, all you must do is recognize some of those things and appreciate them.

Or, more specifically, you must recognize fifty things that are present within your life/this moment, and, then, appreciate them.

Just to give you an idea of what this game is all about, here are ten examples from my life:

  • The Creative Inspiration That Led Me To Write This Essay
  • Comfortable Clothing
  • Warm Weather
  • A Blue Sky
  • The Beauty Of This Blue Sky, And The Incoming Clouds
  • The Computer Used To Write This Essay
  • My Ability To Write
  • The Ways In Which My Writing Abilities Have Grown
  • A Working Toilet
  • A Clean Bathroom

And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely.

For you, the fifty things — or more, for that matter — will be different.

No matter what, though, allow yourself to appreciate what is present in this moment.

The act of appreciation, and all that it brings forth, will aid you in feeling secure and content.

Even more than that, though, appreciation aids in facilitating more constructive states, making it easier for you to consider new possibilities and move forward with your aims.

Those two, and many more, seem to emanate from the feelings — or state of — appreciation.

To go along with that, a strong sense of security and contentment, as well as a positive mental attitude, seems to, on its own, bring forth opportunities and blessings of all sorts.

Or, at least, that’s been my experience. But, this may not be entirely accurate.

Regardless of that, by playing this appreciation game, you can determine that for yourself.

Diving Deep Into A Desire

No matter who you are, or what you have, there are things you desire.

Some of these desires might be:

  • More Money
  • A Good Book To Read
  • The Feeling Of Awe
  • Inspiration
  • A New Set Of Beautiful Creative Possibilities
  • A Romantic Partner
  • Good Friends
  • A Trip To The Beach
  • To Visit And/Or Live In Mexico
  • A New, Deeply Resonant, Life Path

And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely, for the range of desires is vast and infinite.

No matter what it is that you desire, you can, in this moment, appreciate that desire.

Or, to be more specific, you can appreciate that desire, as if it is a present fact of your life.

To accomplish this task, you can play a game.

A game that begins with you selecting a desire.

Select a desire — any desire — and, right after doing so, assume that, in this moment, it is yours.

No matter what it is, assume that it is yours.

Right after you assume that it is yours, recognize ten things you appreciate about this desire and, in turn, its presence in your life.

Returning to the examples outlined earlier, let’s say you want to live in Mexico.

You can, if you want to live in Mexico, appreciate:

  • The Tasty Foods You Are Eating
  • Living In A Nice Home
  • Just How Much Better Your Spanish Is, Compared To When You Arrived
  • All Of The New Friends You’ve Made
  • Those Pleasant, Nightly Breezes
  • The Colors And Smells All Around You
  • Easy Access To Some Wonderful Parks And Other Natural Spaces
  • A Newfound Sense Of Peace And Calm
  • All Of The Nice Photos And Videos You’ve Taken
  • A Lower Cost Of Living, Allowing You To Save Money And/Or Invest

And so on and so forth.

Those are just ten examples.

No matter what you desire, allow yourself to appreciate that desire, as if it is a present fact.

The act of appreciating your desire, as if it is a present fact, serves to aid in that desire becoming a fact of your life, while also opening up new paths and opportunities.

As with the previous game, that is, in the end, just my experience.

But, by playing this game, you can determine if that is your experience, as well.

Thematic Appreciation

Our goals in life can, more often than not, be broken down into themes.

Some of these themes may be as follows:

  • Career
  • Love
  • Creativity
  • Family
  • Money
  • Success
  • Travel
  • Health
  • Passion
  • Education

And so on and so forth.

Really, those are just some examples, none of which are intended to be universal.

Right within those themes, there are specific goals you wish to accomplish.

Or, perhaps, it’s the other way around — perhaps, the goals define the themes? I’m not sure.

Regardless of that, there are goals within those themes.

Goals that you would like to bring forth

To play this game, you must select a few themes.

Right after selecting a few themes — two, at least — allow yourself to assume that, in this moment, you are living a life that is in alignment with your desires for those themes.

To give you an example, if you wish to be successful and healthy, you can appreciate:

  • Waking Up And Feeling Good
  • Being Able To Go On Nice, Long Walks
  • A Fat Bank Account
  • Knowing That You Can Buy All Of The Healthy Foods You Want
  • Going To Bed And Being Excited For Tomorrow
  • Enjoying Your Work
  • Being Able To Do Far More Push-Ups Than You Were Able To Earlier
  • Being More Confident
  • Believing In Yourself
  • The Choices You Made In The Recent Past And The Success They’ve Created

And so on and so forth.

These are just a few basic examples.

You can focus on specific goals, related to those themes, or embrace a more open-ended approach, allowing yourself to appreciate, and engage with, everything that arises.

Just allow yourself to appreciate the life you are living, within the themes of your choosing.

For, in appreciating those themes, and what it is that you desire, you can bring them to life.

Conclusion

Every single one of the appreciation games outlined in this piece is transformative.

Or, rather, each game has the power to transform your life, as well as your very sense of self.

My hope is that you play these games and, in doing so, enjoy that power.

Regardless of that, though, thank you so much for reading this essay series!
