5 More Investment In 5 Minutes
Earlier this year, near the end of June, “5 Investments In 5 Minutes” was published.
A simple essay, filled with simple investments, each of which produces both immediate and long-term results.
“5 More Investments In 5 Minutes” is, as the name suggests, a sequel to “5 Investments In 5 Minutes”.
You will learn what these 5 investments are, how you can engage with them, and the results they bring forth.
What Is An Investment?
Right before we dive in, let’s define “investment”.
According to Google, an “investment” is as follows: the action or process of investing money for profit or material result.
For our essay, that’s a great definition.
Except for one small point.
None of the investments in this essay involve money.
Each one of these investments involves a simple action — or small set of actions, in one case — that produces a series of effects.
Each one of these effects serves as a source of value and growth.
None of these investments take more than 5 minutes to perform.
Every investment in this essay, despite requiring so little time and energy, creates value.
Value that creates more value; and so on and so forth.
Just take a little bit of time and, in making these investments, you can create immediate value.
Investment 01: Give Life To Your Vision
You are a being of limitless creative power.
You can channel your creative power — what you truly are — into the vision you hold in your mind.
But, of course, for this to happen, you must possess a vision.
A vision that you can give life to.
This, of course, brings us to the investment in question.
To perform this investment, you have two options.
You can take five minutes — or less — and create your vision.
Take some time to think about what you love, what you wish to experience more of, and what you are searching for.
Let the bits that come forth assemble themselves into something coherent.
Sometimes, this takes more than 5 minutes.
Sometimes, this may take a couple of days.
But, by the time those bits come together, you will be ready.
Right after your vision exists, you can take 5 minutes and invest in that vision.
You can feel your vision as a reality.
You can feel yourself experiencing that vision right now and right.
You can play with the methods and tools that allow you to feel such things as a reality.
You can bring your vision into reality.
Investment 02: Drink A Big Glass Of Water
Simple, right?
Right.
Drinking a big glass of water is easy.
So easy, in fact, that the effects of doing so can be unfairly overlooked.
A big glass of water can lubricate the joints in your body, give you more energy, enhance your physical beauty, strengthen your brain; and so much more.
If you drink a big glass of water every single day — at least one glass — you will not only receive those effects, but become far healthier, in the long-term, as a result.
A simple investment that takes very little time, yet creates health and happiness.
Investment 03: Play With Your Imagination
As a creative being, your imagination is limitless.
A limitless treasure trove of wonders, gifts, blessings, concepts; and so on and so forth, infinitely and endlessly.
You can take just 5 minutes and let yourself engage with the true beauty of your imagination.
Just set aside 5 minutes — or less, if you need to — for letting your imagination come forth.
To accomplish this, you can think of a particular intention.
You may have a question or theme you wish to explore.
Right after you find your question or theme — you can choose some other type of intention, of course — close your eyes, let your mind wander across the question or theme, while allowing images and scenes to come forth.
A fresh set of scenes and images will, almost always, come forth.
Within the scenes and images, you will find new ideas, important questions to ask, blessings that enhance your vision; and so much more.
Just set aside a little time to be present and receptive to the limitless abundance of your imagination.
Investment 04: Discover What You Appreciate
A little gratitude can make every moment a little nicer.
No matter where you are, take a few minutes and come up with 20 things that you appreciate.
You can play with specific themes, topics, facets of your life; and so on and so forth.
The possibilities are endless.
One of my favorite ways to make this particular investment is by thinking about a specific part of my life.
A park that I love walking to, for example, or my pets.
From that, a list of 20 things that I appreciate comes forth.
Sometimes, coming up with those 20 things is a little challenging.
No matter what, though, they’re there, and being receptive to those appreciable qualities enhances my mood, transforms my perception, and makes life all the more sweeter.
Investment 05: Just Be
Take 5 minutes — or less, if necessary — to just be.
Just find a nice place to sit, let yourself relax, and enjoy the moment.
No need for any distractions.
Just let yourself enjoy the moment.
Enjoy the moment and, in doing so, enjoy the world.
A moment of peace can serve to facilitate creativity, contentment, bliss, novelty; and so much more.
Beyond the intended results, though, a moment of peace is just that; a moment of peace.
A moment of peace that is worth so very much, in and of itself.
Conclusion
My hope is that these investments excite and inspire you.
Engaging with these investments, on a regular basis, will create strong effects.
Immediate effects, and long-term effects.
To figure out the value these effects will bring, please play with these investments.
