12 Unique Visions Of The Infinite — Part 01

Our goal, with this essay, is to explore three unique visions of the infinite.

Just three visions of the infinite, out of twelve; you can find the other nine in the three parts ahead.

So, with that in mind, let’s begin!

Vision 01: Infinite Combination

Our universe is composed of ,and grown from, infinite bits, ideas, elements, moments, spaces, thoughts.

And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.

Every single one of those can be combined and connected — ad infinitum — in infinite ways, styles, and manners — ad infinitum — the acts of which allow an infinite wealth of new, unique — ad infinitum — things to be born.

Just as an example, cardboard and office spaces, which allows for an office space made of cardboard.

Or, perhaps, an underwater city, paired with a Noir mystery, coupled with shamanism?

Even a single set of combinations — such as the one outlined right above — can, and does, give birth to an infinite wealth of new ideas, concepts, possibilities; ad infinitum!

Vision 02: Endless Depth

Just imagine a hole in the ground.

Right within this hole, there is light.

You can see, as a result of this light, the walls of the hole.

But, there is one thing you cannot see: the deepest depth within the hole.

The reason for this is quite simple: there is no deepest depth.

No ending. No limit. No boundary.

And so on and so forth, endlessly and infinitely; ad infinitum.

You can apply this same idea to anything.

Just as an example, a concept that is perceived as an infinite skyscraper with infinite floors, levels, and depths; ad infinitum.

Or, an ocean with no farthest depth; merely an infinitude of space and richness.

If you were to traverse such a space or concept or metaphor — ad infinitum — you would never, ever reach an ending or deepest depth or conclusion or boundary; ad infinitum.

Vision 03: Infinite Work

Sometime in 2017, an idea made its way to me.

The idea was as follows: if you hold a thought for 17 seconds, then that is the equivalent of 2000 hours of work.

Real work. Tangible work. Actionable work.

That sort of thing.

You can find this idea in the work of Abraham Hicks.

On some level, it may be true. And, on another level, it probably isn’t’.

Even so, though, the idea fascinated me.

It also led to another idea: what if you could accomplish or conduct — ad infinitum — an infinite amount of work in a finite amount of time?

Just as an example, what if 17 seconds of thought was equivalent to an infinite amount of work?

You could, ostensibly, achieve or do or create — ad infinitum — anything and everything — ad infinitum — with that.

Even more than that, though, you could never reach the end, or any limits, to the work that is being conducted.

If you were to dive into this work, and go through infinite quantities of work or endless bodies of time that, naturally, encompass this work, you would never reach the end, or any limits to it.

The reason for this is simple: infinity has no ending or, for that matter, any clear limits or boundaries; ad infinitum.

The whole thing is peculiar. But, thought-provoking.

Conclusion

Just to wrap this up, thank you for reading the first part of this new essay series!

My hope is that you enjoyed it. And, if you want more, there are nine more visions of the infinite waiting to be read.

Best wishes and have a fantastic day!
